About Us

Our story.

Campos Real Estate was founded by Katty, Portuguese, and Alexandra-Maria, German — two people who fell in love with Alto Alentejo, bought and restored a ruin here themselves, and saw how few buyers and sellers had a trusted, independent guide through the process.

We know first-hand that the dream of a ruin and its restoration is a beautiful one — and that the reality rarely moves as fast or as smoothly as it looks from the outside, especially when you're not there to see it for yourself. With our partners, Leonard and Cedric, by our side, we built the agency we wish we'd had: one point of contact who coordinates the search, the negotiation, the legal process, and everything that comes after the keys change hands.

Between us, we bring a background in project management and a creative eye — plus real, hands-on experience with the work itself. Buying or selling property in Portugal is complex: the language, the local market, the legal process — each step carries risk when you're navigating it alone.

The Region

Serra de São Mamede.

Campos Real Estate works across the Serra de São Mamede — rolling plains, cork forests, and medieval hilltop villages that remain largely undiscovered by international buyers, stretching from fortified border towns to the Baroque streets of the regional capital. The agency itself was founded in Castelo de Vide, and this hilltop village with its medieval Jewish quarter remains our home base today.
